In this section you will find information on the ICBSS’ ongoing and closed projects. As opposed to our programmes which refer to recurring activities such as the International Black Sea Symposium, our Annual Conference and Lecture or our Outreach programme, our projects are carried out in a limited timeframe. We frequently receive external funding for projects and often work with international partner organisations on project development and implementation. Of course all our projects contribute to our aim, namely to foster cooperation among entities within and beyond the Black Sea region.
The main project areas we have developed over time are large-scale EU co-funded projects that focus on fostering cooperation in the field of Science and Technology (S&T). With considerable co-funding from the EU’s Sixth and Seventh Framework Programmes for Research, we have been leading/involved in the following projects:
