The International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) launched the International Black Sea Symposium project in the context of a need for transnational cooperation in the wider Black Sea region. Now, in its eleventh year, the International Black Sea Symposium (IBSS) builds on the success and positive impact of its previous editions to bring together regional and international stakeholders with an interest in the Black Sea area, to exchange views on a sustainable socioeconomic recovery in the post-covid era.
The 11th International Black Sea Symposium on “A collective recovery for the Black Sea Region in the post-covid era” will be held on 20 April 2021 (10am Athens time).
The event will be held virtually via Zoom. The event’s working language will be English. Below, you may fond the Concept Note and the Agenda of the event.
More about the 11th IBSS:
The 11th IBSS aims at offering a platform for dialogue among stakeholders to a) discuss challenges for, and best practices of national and regional response to the pandemic since the covid-19 outbreak, b) exchange views on opportunities and synergies for a sustainable socioeconomic plan for a collective recovery in the Black Sea region.
Special emphasis will be placed on the following digitalisation, adaptation of services to the new market demands, identification of new skills and capacity-building, business re-start and social cohesion, that are identified as key priorities for the post-covid era.
