Anoushabour (անուշապուր, Anooshavoor) is an Armenian dessert that is traditionally consumed on Christmas and New Year's Eve.
For those who want to make it, the recipe is really simple, even for beginners. Cook the skinless whole wheat (gorgos or korkot) separately or with various fruits – mainly apricots or peaches – and spices until it develops a porridge-like consistency.
Serving Suggestion!
Once prepared, serve it in a bowl and garnish with raisins, pomegranate seeds and nuts, such as hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, pistachios and pine nuts.
Bon Appétit!
