Literature
- Ivo Andrić, novelist, poet and short story writer, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature (1961).
- Miloš Crnjanski, novelist and poet, considered one of the greatest Serbian writers of the 20th
- Isidora Sekulić, prose writer, novelist, essayist and art critic, one of the most important figures in the world of Serbian Arts and Sciences.
Music
- Guča Trumpet Festival, the largest trumpet and brass band event.
- Kolo, traditional collective folk dance, inscribed on UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Cinema
- Emir Kusturica, award-winning film director, screenwriter and actor, one of the most famous filmmakers in Europe.
Museum
- Nikola Tesla Museum, the only museum in the world that preserves the original and personal legacy of Nikola Tesla.
- National Museum of Serbia, the largest and oldest museum in the country.
Natural/Cultural Monuments
- Stari Ras and Sopoćani, and Studenica Monastery (both inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List of cultural sites), sites with a rich cultural heritage.
Gastronomy
- Vasina Torta, Proja, Bundevara and Makovnjača, traditional must-try dishes.
Painting
- Milena Pavlović-Barili, painter, one of the most important representatives of Serbian modernism.
- Vladimir Veličković, painter and leader of the Narrative Figuration movement, considered one of the most important contemporary artists in Europe.
Pottery
- Zlakusa pottery making, hand-wheel pottery making in the village of Zlakusa. It is included in UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Performance Art
- Marina Abramović, award-winning performance artist considered to pioneer performance art.
Comics
- “Comic Book City”, a programme celebrating the comic culture of Novi Sad. It was part of the city's activities as 2022 European Capital of Culture.
