26 November 2024
On 26 November 2024, the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) welcomed at its premises a group of young students from Greece, Poland and the Czech Republic, as part of a youth mobility project under the Erasmus+ EU programme for education, training, youth and sport.
The study visit was organised by the youth organisation EUphoria Youth Lab, located in Greece, as part of a broader 2-year European project under Erasmus+, that aims to mobilise, inform and actively involve Europe's young people in today's affairs through non-formal forms of education. The young students are members of local teams that work on a wide range of issues, such as young people's political attitudes in Europe, youth involvement in civil society, social inclusion and many other topics fostering the public debate.
During the one-hour meeting, ICBSS Research and Policy Development Manager, Ms Georgia Chantzi, presented the objective and activities of ICBSS, and the role of the BSEC Organization in promoting regional cooperation in the Black Sea; while ICBSS Junior Project Manager, Ms Elpida Besi, highlighted ICBSS’ projects and educational frameworks in the wider region, particularly supporting youth mobility and capacity building. The meeting continued with questions and exchange with the young participants.
The ICBSS would like to thank all participants for the kind interest and the opportunity to present the ICBSS and its work to a dynamic audience interested in promoting public dialogue.
