3rd General Assembly Meeting
22 September 2025
On 18 – 19 September 2025, ICBSS Research and Policy Development Manager, Ms. Georgia Chantzi, and ICBSS Junior Project Manager, Ms. Elpida Besi, participated at the 3rd TOURAL Project General Assembly, held in Zadar, Croatia. The meeting was organised and hosted by the TOURAL project partner, ZADRA NOVA.
During the GA meeting, project partners discussed the work that has already been completed during the first one and a half years of the project, as well as the next steps for the upcoming months. Special attention was paid to the six Living Labs that took place in Spring 2025 – one for each of the TOURAL Pilot Sites – as their results set the basis for the project's upcoming tasks.
As part of the project’s activities, project partners participated at a guided tour of the cultural and natural heritage of the City of Pag and Šimuni Village in the Island of Pag, one of the TOURAL six pilot sites for the sustainable development of the UCCST tourism markets.
On the second day, participants visited the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar that operates under the auspices of UNESCO (status of a UNESCO Centre of the 2nd category). The Centre works to study, preserve and promote underwater cultural heritage in Croatia and beyond.
The ICBSS leads WP2 on Cultural and Creative Tourism (CCT) Analysis & Policy Pathways aiming at stakeholders' engagement and co-creation of policies and business models.
