4th General Assembly Meeting

On 1 – 2 October 2025, ICBSS Research and Policy Development Manager, Ms. Georgia Chantzi, participated at the 4th BRIDGE – BS General Assembly, held in Mersin, Türkiye. The meeting was organised and hosted by the BRIDGE-BS project coordinator, the Institute of Marine Sciences of the Middle East Technical University (METU-IMS).
During the two-day meeting, partners discussed the latest project results and upcoming activities, focusing on how the project’s knowledge outputs contribute to scientific research, innovation, capacity building, and policy advocacy for sustainable blue economy in the Black Sea.
Emphasis was paid to the legacy of the project, as included in the BRIDGE-BS International Policy Brief and the BRIDGE-BS ‘2030 Blue Roadmap for the Black Sea’. As a result of a collaborative process, these key policy-oriented documents propose a set of recommendations and concrete actions for the exploitation of the project’s results beyond its lifecycle.
This was the final General Assembly of BRIDGE-BS, as the project reaches its completion after 54 months of intensive works, deliberations, knowledge sharing and research. The BRIDGE-BS Final Event will be held in Brussels, on 25 November 2025. Registration and other logistics will be announced soon through the BRIDGE-BS communication channels.
