Memorandum of Understanding between the ICBSS and the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

On 1 December 2025, the Director General of the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS), Mr. Georgios MITRAKOS, and the Head of the Research Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dr. Lesia VAOLEVSKA, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions, in an online meeting.
The MoU formalises the long-standing cooperation between the organisations with the aim to further strengthen their interaction through regular communication and collaborative activities, with a particular focus on research and knowledge exchange in areas of mutual interest.
The aligned priorities of the two institutions to foster synergies and advocacy will contribute to an enriching environment for young scientists and policymakers in the Black Sea region and beyond.
The renewed collaboration reaffirms the commitment of both organisations to advancing understanding, dialogue, and regional cooperation in the Black Sea area.
