Memorandum of Understanding between the ICBSS and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed)

On 27 January 2026, the Director General of the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS), Mr. Georgios Mitrakos, and the Managing Director of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), Mr. Roger Albinyana, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.
The MoU launches a new era of coopareation between the two institutions with the aim to further strengthen knowledge exchange and synergies in thematic fields of common interest, through joint events, publications, trainings, and research.
The aligned priorities of the two institutions to foster synergies and advocacy will contribute to the creation of an enriching environment for young scientists and policymakers both in the Euro-Mediterranean and the wider Black Sea region, and beyond.
