4th General Assembly Meeting

On 19 – 21 May 2026, ICBSS Junior Project Manager, Ms. Elpida Besi, participated at the 4th TOURAL Project General Assembly, held in Pineto, Teramo Province, Italy. The meeting was organised and hosted by the TOURAL project partners, the Province of Teramo and ITACA.
During the GA meeting, project partners discussed the work that has already been completed during the second one and a half years of TOURAL, as well as the next steps for the final months of the project.
On the second day, two training workshops were held. The first workshop focused on the demonstration of the ICT Tools that
have been developed within the project. In the second workshop, various local stakeholders from the Abruzzo Region provided feedback on the potential of UCCST business models at the local level. This training workshop is part of a series of workshops taking place across the six TOURAL Pilot Sites, building upon prior co-working activities, including the six Living Labs that took place in Spring 2025.
As part of the project's activities, project partners visited the Knowledge Awareness Centre (KAC) in Pineto, which was established within the framework of TOURAL as a hub for the promotion of alternative, sustainable tourism. In addition, partners participated in a guided tour of the cultural and natural heritage across the Teramo Province, one of the TOURAL six pilot sites for the sustainable development of the UCCST tourism markets.
The ICBSS leads WP2 on Cultural and Creative Tourism (CCT) Analysis & Policy Pathways aiming at stakeholders' engagement and co-creation of policies and business models.
