Participation of the ICBSS Director General at the 52nd Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the BSEC Member States

On 15 June 2026, the ICBSS Director General, Mr. Georgios Mitrakos, addressed the 52nd Meeting of the Council of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) of the BSEC Member States, held online, under the Georgian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office (CiO).
During his statement, Mr. Mitrakos highlighted the main activities organised by the ICBSS during the first semester of 2026, in line with the ICBSS’ objectives to foster stakeholders’ engagement, policy-oriented research and advocacy, and partnerships. For the upcoming second semester, planned ICBSS activities will aim to advance research and advocacy, prioritising on international outreach, scientific engagement, capacity building, and knowledge exchange.
On behalf of the ICBSS, Mr. Mitrakos congratulated the outgoing Georgian BSEC Chairmanship and wished an impactful and productive term to the incoming Hellenic BSEC Chairmanship.
The Meeting officially concludes the current Georgian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office for the period 1 January – 30 June 2026 and initiates the transition to the upcoming Hellenic BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office for the period 1 July – 31 December 2026.
