Participation of ICBSS Director General at the Online Expert Meeting “The EU and Asian States: Towards a Sustainable Cooperation. Opportunities for Romania”

On 10 July 2026, the ICBSS Director General, Mr. Georgios Mitrakos, participated at the online expert meeting on the topic “The EU and Asian States: Towards a Sustainable Cooperation. Opportunities for Romania”, organised by the Institutul European din România - European Institute of Romania (EIR).
The online dialogue was attended by several experts and representatives of the academic community from Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, China, France, Greece, India, Mongolia, Pakistan, Poland, and Romania, and was held under the Chatham House Rule.
This expert discussion served as a follow-up to the collective report series issued in April 2026 by the European Institute of Romania, under the same title.
As part of this initiative, the ICBSS has contributed to the collective report series with the submission of a paper entitled "The ‘China Shock’" written by the ICBSS Director General, Mr. Georgios Mitrakos.
The ICBSS and the EIR have established cooperation by Memorandum of Understanding since April 2025.
