The event is open to public and media participation and will bring together high-level panellists from academia, civil society, business, and diplomacy. It will provide an opportunity to present and discuss the current environmental challenges and sustainable green development in the Black Sea region and the European Union’s role in responding to these challenges and opportunities.
Parallel thematic breakout sessions will focus on sustainable blue economy, environmental resilience and cross-border cooperation and connecting with the Danube.
A full agenda is available online.
Media and the public can register to participate until 10 November here.
The EU’s Black Sea Synergy initiative supports better cooperation in the region, between the countries bordering the Black Sea and beyond. The Synergy offers a flexible framework for developing practical solutions to address regional and global challenges.
The EU supports a diversity of green and sustainable projects with positive economic, environmental and social impacts in the region and in the EU itself. More information on the EU’s projects and actions to support regional cooperation are available online and in a dedicated factsheet.
