The Gender Equality Programme (GEP), launched by ICBSS in 2026, is an impact-oriented initiative that aims to raise awareness and contribute to policy advocacy and stakeholder mobilisation. 

Considering existing structural barriers and persistent social norms, the Programme aims to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the wider Black Sea region, applying an evidence-based, collaborative approach.

The ICBSS GEP uses data, information, and statistics to study, assess, and monitor the status and progress of gender equality across the 13 Member States of the BSEC Organisation.
