Youth for Future Cooperation – on the road to Interreg GO!

On 15 November 2024, ICBSS Junior Project Manager, Ms. Elpida Besi, participated at the Youth for Future Cooperation – on the road to Interreg GO! event, held in Brussels, Belgium.
Hosted by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO), the event brought together 100 young people to share their ideas and play an active role in shaping the future of Interreg, the EU's programme for regional cooperation across borders.
The event included a panel discussion with the Head of Unit Mr. Jean-Pierre Halkin on the involvement of young people in cooperation, as well as breakout sessions on European Cohesion Policy topics. Through these consultations, the participants drafted their own recommendations for Interreg's post-2027 agenda, with the aim of strengthening cross-border and regional cooperation and increasing youth participation.
