National Meeting of the ALF Hellas

On 14-17 November 2024, ICBSS Communications and Events Officer, Ms. Fani Sampani, participated in the annual National Meeting of the Anna Lindh Foundation Hellas, held in Komotini, Greece.
Representatives of the ALF Hellas network from all over Greece shared network news, discussed future actions and exchange on best practices. This year’s meeting hosted also special sessions on academia – civil society interaction, and capacity building on cultural management.
On behalf of ICBSS, Ms. Sampani presented the comprehensive analysis in the thematic priority “Art & Culture”, in relation to the national socio-political environment, elaborated and published by ICBSS in the context of "Track 1.2: Contextualisation of the Thematic Priorities of the Anna Lindh Greek Network in relation to the national socio-political context of the Foundation: Art & Culture".
The ALF National meeting was hosted in the Public Library of Komotini, a building named after Nestor Tsanaklis, the benefactor of the city.
The meeting concluded with a guided tour of historical sites in Komotini, in the presence of the Mayor of the City.
Komotini is the first Greek city to be awarded the title of National Youth Capital 2024.
