Participation of ICBSS at the Regional Consultations on Gender Equality of the Global Initiative “A Youth Vision for the World’s Future”
26 March 2026
On 19 March 2026, ICBSS Junior Project Manager, Ms. Elpida Besi, participated in the regional consultations on Gender Equality of the global initiative “A Youth Vision for the World’s Future”, held online.
Launched by the SDSN Youth in partnership with the Ford Foundation, A Youth Vision for the World’s Future is a new initiative aiming to amplify youth voices through a series of regional consultations on gender equality, climate change, and the future of work. These dialogues are held across Africa, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, and Europe, and serve as a tool to gather youth perspectives on these sustainability issues, including young people’s priorities and recommendations for a more just and equitable world.
In this framework, on behalf of ICBSS, Ms. Besi participated in the Europe regional consultations on gender equality, sharing information and insights from the wider Black Sea region.
Following the consultations, SDSN Youth will publish a brief with recommendations for decision-makers to inform the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. To enhance youth participation, the initiative will channel youth voices into high-level policy processes by presenting the recommendations to senior representatives of UN Member States, civil society organisations, and academia at multilateral forums.
The participation of the ICBSS at the Regional Consultations on Gender Equality of the Global Initiative “A Youth Vision for the World’s Future” is part of the Gender Equality Programme (GEP) that aims to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the wider Black Sea region, applying an evidence-based, collaborative approach.
