In Türkiye, Kabak Tatlısı is a unique choice for these cold winter days. It is a classic Turkish dessert consisting of candied pumpkin, which is peeled, cut, and then baked in its own juices with sugar. If desired, a few cinnamon sticks or cloves can be added to the pumpkin pieces before baking. When baked, kabak tatlısı is traditionally topped with crushed walnuts and thick clotted cream called kaymak.
