Visit by a delegation of researchers from the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA)

On 11 December 2024, the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) welcomed at its premises a delegation of researchers from the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA), as part of their working visit to Athens with the aim to strengthen links with think tanks and institutions focusing on foreign relations.
During the meeting, HIIA researchers outlined the agenda and priorities of the current Hungarian EU Presidency, along with Hungarian foreign policy. From ICBSS, Director General, Mr. Georgios Mitrakos, outlined the Black Sea regional cooperation, the potential of the Three Seas Initiative, and the role of Greece in regional cooperation frameworks. Parties discussed opportunities of future cooperation, and exchanged on foreign policy issues in various regions, including the Western Balkans.
The International Centre for Black Sea Studies and the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs have a Memorandum of Understanding since 2019.
