On 11 June 2025, the ICBSS Director General, Mr. Georgios Mitrakos, participated at the launch meeting of the “Blueing the Black Sea (BBSEA) GEF Regional Project”, co-organised by the World Bank and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and hosted by the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in Istanbul, Türkiye.

The paper, written by ICBSS Director General, Mr. Georgios Mitrakos, was included in the recent collective report "Building geoeconomic bridges: European Union - South Caucasus - Central Asia. Opportunities for Romania", published by the Institutul European din România - European Institute of Romania.

A Cooperation Agreement was signed between the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) and the European Institute of Romania (EIR), on 11 April 2025.

On 27 - 29 April 2025, the ICBSS Director General, Mr. Georgios MITRAKOS, participated at the “Three Seas Initiative Summit & Business Forum”, in Warsaw, Poland.

On 8 - 9 April 2025, ICBSS Junior Project Manager, Ms. Elpida Besi, participated at the Second Living Lab workshop on “Exploring scenarios for reducing persistent chemicals in the Black Sea basin”, held in Varna, Bulgaria.
