On 19 March 2026, ICBSS Junior Project Manager, Ms. Elpida Besi, participated at the regional consultations on Gender Equality of the global initiative “A Youth Vision for the World’s Future”, held online.
On the occasion of the 10th BSEC Month of Culture, the ICBSS launches an Open Call for the 2026 ICBSS Photo Competition ‘Culture Through My Eyes. One Region, Infinite Stories.’, with the aim to inspire and connect people through the rich cultural heritage of the wider Black Sea region.

On 2 February 2026, the Coordination Meeting of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, the BSEC Related Bodies, and BSEC PERMIS officially launched the Georgian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office for the period 1 January – 30 June 2026.
On 27 January 2026, the Director General of the International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS) and the Managing Director of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.
