The National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History is the oldest museum in the Republic of Moldova. Founded as an Agricultural Museum, during its existence it gradually expanded its field of activity, creating collections that reflect natural history, contemporary nature, the evolution of human society and traditional culture in Bessarabia and later the Republic of Moldova.
The Museum has a collection of 135.000 cultural goods. It organized numerous exhibitions that highlighted the animal and plant world, the natural riches of the land, reflected the occupations of the population.
