The National Museum of History of Moldova owns more than 350 000 cultural goods whose diversified typology captures the profile of the Republic of Moldova over the centuries, from prehistoric eras to the present, attesting the human habitat, facts, events, portraits of personalities.
The Museum offers to the general public various temporary exhibitions, which come to contribute to the cultural promotion of the deposited heritage. Since the beginning of its activity, the museum has organized over 650 temporary exhibitions (outside the institution and abroad), focused on its own collections, as well as on cooperation with other cultural and research institutions.
