The ICBSS launched the International Black Sea Symposium (IBSS) in the context of a need for transnational cooperation in the wider Black Sea region. Through a series of interactive sessions, the International Black Sea Symposium serves as a platform of dialogue and knowledge transfer, aiming to enhance existing synergies, to promote further regional cooperation and to achieve positive results on the social and economic environment of the Black Sea region.

Established as the flagship event of ICBSS, each annual International Symposium, offers an interactive learning environment, bringing together renowned international experts and young professionals, including policy-makers, academics, journalists, diplomats, Members of Parliament, entrepreneurs, civil society leaders and researchers from around the world.
