The European Urban Research Association (EURA) and the Standing Group on Local Government & Politics of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR), in collaboration with the ICBSS, are organising a joint PhD Summer School to be held in Athens, Greece, on 1- 4 September 2025.

On 26 November 2024, the ICBSS welcomed at its premises a group of young students from Greece, Poland and the Czech Republic, as part of a youth mobility project under the Erasmus+ EU programme for education, training, youth and sport.

On 15 November 2024, ICBSS Junior Project Manager, Ms. Elpida Besi, participated at the Youth for Future Cooperation – on the road to Interreg GO! event, held in Brussels, Belgium.

On 7 November 2024, the ICBSS Director General, Mr. Georgios MITRAKOS, participated at the Conference “Black Sea: Opportunities and Challenges for Euro-Atlantic Security”, organised by the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI) in cooperation with the Embassy of Romania to Italy, in Rome, Italy.

The 8th edition of the BSEC Month of Culture will be launched on 1 November 2024!

On 15 October 2024, the ICBSS Director General, Mr. Georgios MITRAKOS, participated at a Public Hearing on “The Three Seas Initiative: Connectivity in Central Europe”, organised and hosted by MEP Mr. Arkadiusz MULARCZYK, ECR Group, in the European Parliament in Brussels.

The new booklet “The Route to Coastal Restoration: From the REST-COAST project to the Black Sea region” builds on the results of the project REST-COAST to propose knowledge transfer pathways as a preliminary tool to better support coastal restoration in the Black Sea basin.
